This project is an example of how we have created additional floor space to the ground floor of a residential dwelling for a large family. The clients desired an open plan living configuration while still maintaining some form of separation for the living area and additional spaces. The proposed work was applied for under a house holder planning application and has now provided them with an enhanced standard of living.

Our client was looking to achieve a single storey side and rear wrap around extension to increase the ground floor footprint. Their main brief was to achieve a large kitchen, dining and living area located to the rear of the property for a family of their size.
The single storey side and rear wrap around extension created the addition floor area to the rear of the property achieving the open plan kitchen, dining and linked living area desired. By removing internal and external walls, we have been able to create a configuration which enabled to client to achieve an additional study and utility area along with a large dining and living area which was the fundamental element of the design brief.
